Today we saw two rivers embrace, got schooled by a talking frog, explored a giant ghost of the shearing days, crossed a plain so empty, even the horizon looked lonely. and ended up behind bars — again. Let the adventure continue.

Day 16 – Woodsies Gem Shop, Mildura Riverfront, Perry Sandhills, Old Wentworth Goal
Today we uncovered some hidden sparkle, saw a river do a party trick with a paddle steamer, climbed some red-not-red sand dunes, and stepped into a story with bars but no cocktails. It was part treasure hunt, part time travel — and all outback charm. Let the adventure continue!

Day 15: Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, Waikerie Silo Art, Lift Bridge and Lock 5.
Today we stirred up some flavour, spotted some giants, crossed a bridge that knows how to get high, and watched the river made to follow the rules. Let the adventure continue.

Day 14 – Chihuly Exhibition, Adelaide Central Markets, Glenelg
Today we caught an amazing display of glass sculptures, experienced the local market, and got down to the beach for a bit.

Day 13 Belair National Park and the Omega Street Art Trail
The public holiday today put a little dent in our plans but we still managed to get lost in a national park and check out some very cool graffiti, before spending the afternoon visiting with my godfather.

Day 12 – Dawn Coral Service, Laundry, Victorian and Federal Architecture
With unfavourable weather again, it was a quiet day, although I did make it to a beautiful choral performance before breakfast. Then the glamor of laundry took lover while we had a walk around some beautiful Victorian and Federation style homes.

Day 11 – Granite Island, Cockle Train, Hindmarsh Falls
The weather wasn’t in our favour today, but we took a ride on a steam train, almost got across a causeway, and saw another pretty dry waterfall.

Day 10 Sturt Reserve, Monarto Safari Park, Goolwa and Murray Mouth
Today we tracked Australia’s longest river from Murray Bridge to the sea, and spent a lot of time with giraffes, lions, elephants, and sundry wild animals.

Day 09 – Cape Jaffa, The Big Lobster, Coorong NP and Old Tailem Town
Today we saw “big”. A giant crustacean, a giant national park, and a big glimpse into the life of early Australian settlers. Let the adventure continue.

Day 8 – Engelbrecht Cave, Beachport, Cape Jaffa Lighthouse
Today we went deep under Mt Gambier, found a super salty lagoon and checked out a lighthouse that has been moved into town. Let the adventure continue.
